Equipment
- 1 Blender
Ingredients
- – 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and halved
- – 1 ripe banana peeled and sliced
- – 1/2 cup plain yogurt or Greek yogurt
- – 1/2 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
- – 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste
- – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- – BOS Natural Red Color adjust amount based on desired color intensity
- – Ice cubes optional, for a colder smoothie
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- – Wash and hull the strawberries. Slice them in half.
- – Peel and slice the banana.
- Blend the Ingredients:
- – In a blender, combine the strawberries, banana, plain yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and BOS Natural Red Color.
- – If desired, add a handful of ice cubes for a colder smoothie.
- Blend Until Smooth:
- – Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender if needed and blend again to ensure everything is well combined.
- Adjust Consistency:
- – If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk, a little at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. If it’s too thin, add more fruit or yogurt.
- Serve:
- – Pour the strawberry smoothie into glasses.
- – Optionally, garnish with a strawberry slice or mint leaves for presentation.
