- 1 Heavy-bottomed pan
Ingredients
- – 1 cup besan gram flour
- – 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- – 1/4 cup ghee clarified butter
- – 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- – BOS Natural Yellow Color adjust amount based on desired intensity
- – Chopped nuts for garnish optional
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- Add besan (gram flour) and roast it on low to medium flame until it turns golden brown and aromatic. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
- Once besan is roasted well, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the roasted besan and mix well.
- Gradually add BOS Natural Yellow Color to achieve the desired yellow hue. Mix thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it’s comfortable to handle.
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus (balls) while the mixture is still warm.
- Optionally, garnish each laddu with chopped nuts while shaping.
- Let the laddus cool completely before serving.
